For more than two decades, African civil society deals with effects of the authoritarianism of African postcolonial regimes. This society is committed to several fronts including among others sustainable development, education, health, and the struggle for diversity and democracy. In this regard, contemporary African youth embodies a new paradigm of social activism that can be considered as totally different from the mode of action of conventional social actors. This paper aims at exploring this paradigm particularly through the analysis of African youth philosophy of action and its subsequent strategies.
