Informationen zur Person: Antònio Ole is one of the most important artists in Angola. He exhibited in various international exhibitions like Venice, Havanna, São Paulo, Düsseldorf, Berlin. His exhibition in Iwalewa-Haus is his first solo-show in Germany.
His artistic work includes a wide range of topics such as slavery and forced labour, Angolan history, architecture and above all the margins of the borderlands.
He has recently exhibited and taught at the Museum of African Art at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
