|Informationen zur Person:||Reuben Chirambo, born in Malawi, got his PhD from the University of Minnesota, reading literary and cultural theory; he now teaches African literature and postcolonial theory at the University of Cape Town. His academic work has consistently dealt with how discourse in literature and popular culture work to undermine authoritarianism particularly in societies in transition.
His recent works focuses on post-totalitarian states in transition, the reconstruction and institutionalisation of national public memory and their implications for democracy.
