|Informationen zur Person:||Geoffrey Kitula Ki ng'ei is a Full Professor of Kiswahili Studies at the Department of Kiswahili and other African Languages, Kenyatta University, Kenya. He teaches Oral Literature, Literary Criticism, Language Skills and Sociolinguistics.
He hold a B.Ed. (Kiswahili and Literature) and Ma (Swahili Studies) from the University of Nairobi. He received his Ph.D from Howard University, USA. The title of his doctoral thesis was, "Language and Communication in Swahili Taarab: 1963-1990."
Currently, Prof King'ei is the Director of Institutional Based Programmes at Kenyatta University.
His publications are in the area of literary criticism, language education, creative literature and sociolinguistics.
