Guests

The Institute has funds enabling it to invite visiting professors to Bayreuth, in order to promote or improve contacts with Africa. There are two visiting professorships which can be awarded to African academics, usually for periods between one and six months or for longer periods in special cases. The guests are distinguished scholars who are invited to participate in local research and teaching. At the same time they are able to profit from the excellent opportunities for access to and presentation of research materials offered by African Studies in Bayreuth.
