Both courses are interdisciplinary. Courses are offered in the following four subject groups:
Both programmes focus on issues related to Africa from different academic perspectives and within different disciplines. They deepen the student's knowledge and skills in his or her main subject through Africa-related course contents and methods, and improve his or her language skills.
After completing the course, students possess professional competencies and will be able to find employment with organizations involved in Africa-related or general overseas development, with no need for long familiarization periods.
To be admitted to the post-graduate course students must have a degree in one of the four subject groups. For the part-time course a university entrance qualification and at least three years employment experience are required.
