The series 'Beiträge zur Afrikaforschung' is edited by the Institute of African Studies, University of Bayreuth.

Bayreuth African Studies Online

"Bayreuth African Studies Online" presents results of research relating to Africa at the University of Bayreuth. It includes articles, edited collections, and monographs. All contributions go through a peer review process. There are no fixed rules for the language of publication or the length of contributions.

Contributions to this series can be submitted directly or through a member of the academic staff or through members of the IAS. The publishing committee will appoint two referees (often from outside the University of Bayreuth) and decide whether to include the contribution on the basis of their reports.

"Bayreuth African Studies Online" has the ISSN 1861-2350 in the online catalogue of the university library. Each volume can also be accessed via the EPub full text server.
