Dr. Sonkwé is working on his research project "African Literatures as World Literatures".

In addition, he will continue and intensify the collaboration on the joint project on African Literatures as World Literatures with Prof. Fendler, colleagues Maroua ElNaggare and Gilbert Ndi Shang. For Dr. Sonkwe, this will involve examining the work of Congolese-born Alain Mabanckou against the backdrop of his international career and cosmopolitan attitudes.

Furthermore, Dr. Sonkwé will be researching his own projects, including German history in Africa and memory in DaF teaching, and discussing the possibility of an institute partnership with Prof. Fendler.
