We are pleased to inform you about the 7th Biannual Conference of the CRG African History, taking place in Ghent on 18-19 June, 2026.

This leading event for Africanist historians will be held at the Koninklijke Academie voor Nederlandse Taal en Letteren (KANTL) and is co-organised by the CRG African History and Ghent University.

The Collaborative Research Group (CRG) on African History is a thematic network under the Africa-Europe Group for Interdisciplinary Studies (AEGIS), an association of European centres focused on research and education on Africa and African Studies. The CRG works to connect Africanist historians across Europe, enhance the visibility of African history within the wider field of African Studies, and foster collaboration with scholars in Africa and other disciplines worldwide.
