Machume Zango
Visited the IAS on July 2025
During his stay, Machume Zango met several academics participating in the Cluster Programs. He also had the opportunity to collaborate with three musicians from South Korea, Madagascar, and Mozambique for the Afro-Karibik African Festival, which was a great success. This was followed by workshops in schools, where he worked with pupils from Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Syria, and Bosnia. Together, they discussed cultural values, danced, sang, and played various instruments that he had brought with him. Zango received very positive feedback, as many students and teachers expressed interest in continuing these cultural practices in secondary schools in Bayreuth.
