Invitation Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) by Dr Benjamin Schönfeld

The Young Academy of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BAdW) supports excellent young scientists in the postdoctoral phase in Bavaria who are striving for a leading position in their respective discipline. For the duration of their funding, the scholarship holders are associate members of the Academy, enrich Academy life through their activities and benefit from the BAdW's outstanding network. They participate in committees and working groups and develop interdisciplinary events and new research initiatives among themselves and with the Academy's full members.

Dr Benjamin Schönfeld is the Coordinator of Young Academy and Head of Research Documentation, Archive and Library, Bavarian Academy of Science and Humanities. The event is conceived as an outreach to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers at the university of Bayreuth who are interested in knowing about the opportunities offered by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and possibly applying membership. As part of the agenda, two of our alumni, Prof. Dr Gilbert Shang Ndi and Prof. Dr Anna Schenk will share insights from their membership and its implications for their respective careers.
